The Alcove - Cherry & Walnut End Grain Cutting Board

$170.00

Designed for kitchens where space is intentional and every tool earns its place.

The Alcove brings the durability and beauty of a full end-grain butcher block into a size that fits comfortably in smaller kitchens, apartments, and cozy cooking spaces. At 10"×14"×1.5", it gives you ample prep room without overwhelming your countertop, built for the cook who refuses to compromise on quality.

Each board is cut and assembled by hand to expose the end grain in a unique pattern. This traditional construction lets the wood fibers absorb the impact of your knife, protecting both the board and your blades over years of daily use. No two boards are exactly alike. Variations in grain, tone, and pattern make every piece genuinely one-of-a-kind.

Edges are softened by hand and every surface is meticulously sanded before being finished with organic fractionated coconut oil and our own Board Butter blend; food-safe, mineral oil-free, and built to keep the wood nourished for the long haul.

Details:

  • Dimensions: 10" × 14" × 1.5"
  • Wood: Black walnut & cherry (end-grain construction)
  • Finish: Organic fractionated coconut oil + Board Butter (organic fractionated coconut oil and organic beeswax blend)
  • Each board is hand-cut, assembled, sanded, and finished
  • Natural variation in grain and tone meaning every piece is unique
  • Includes a 4oz Board Butter tin for ongoing care

Care: Re-apply Board Butter every 2-3 weeks or when the wood starts to look dry. Hand wash only, never submerge or put in the dishwasher.

A meaningful gift for the home cook, the newlywed, the new homeowner, or anyone who appreciates something made with real intention. The Alcove is built to live on your counter and last for years a working piece of craftsmanship for the heart of your kitchen.
