Face Behind the Craft

Welcome to ReDieming Creations.

Hello! I’m Matthew Diem, a (mostly) self-taught woodworker, born, raised, and based in Buffalo, NY.

First and foremost, I’m a Christian, a husband, a father, and a family man through and through. My faith in Christ is the foundation of everything I do, in my home, in my work, and even in this small business. ReDieming Creations isn’t just about handcrafted wood products; it’s about honoring God through the work of my hands and doing my best to serve others with integrity and gratitude.

What started as a simple hobby, sparked by a love for building as well as the practical need for furniture and home goods as a homeowner, quickly grew into something much more. (As anyone with a hobby knows, it doesn’t take long before it turns into a full shop and a “just one more tool” mindset.)

From helping with projects around the house as a kid, to building in scouting while working toward the rank of Eagle Scout, building, creating and working with my hands has always been a large part of my life. In late 2020, I was blessed with enough space to build out a dedicated woodshop, and that’s when things truly took off. With more time, better tools, and a growing vision, this craft became a genuine passion.

Since then, I’ve created everything from small, everyday items like cutting boards and coasters to home décor and even furniture pieces. What I love most is crafting pieces that are both beautiful and practical; items meant to be used, enjoyed, and the hope of being passed down.

When I’m not in the shop, you’ll likely find me spending time with my family, spending time outdoors, enjoying a broad range of music, or probably working on another project. On my social media (Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube), I share shop updates, projects in progress, the occasional tool review, and yes, a few lighthearted dad jokes along the way.

ReDieming Creations is currently a part-time endeavor because my greatest calling is to my both young and growing family. I do my best to restock regularly and keep my social media platforms updated, so I’d love for you to follow along and check back often.
